We have just put a winter cover on Bob, a little late, but then she was late coming out of the water. I thought it might be helpful to others to show how we did it and provide links to where we purchased the materials, should you want to do something similar, plus it will help me remember where to buy the tarpaulin next year.

We used 40mm water pipe to make the ribs, tied to the stanchions with extra thick zip ties and pushed down to the deck so tucked behind the toe rail. We then tied and screwed wooden battens along the top. The whole structure was then covered in a huge tarpaulin so we can be covered when working on the bottom as well as the top and the tarp has been left open at the bow and stern so the air can flow through.

The water pipe came from: http://www.cityirrigation.co.uk

The tarp came from: http://www.tarpaulinsdirect.co.uk/

Let the winter jobs commence!
