Hi everyone .It has been a long time since I have posted anything. Not much of a forum type I'm sorry .But it sure would be nice to let you all know that I transformed my beloved Twister called Afridi into a cruising boat with a windvane, solar panels and a good lithium battery to be fully independent from shore. I've sold all I owned and set off chasing the sunset . All single handed. I started my voyage 2.5 weeks ago and sailed from Holland to northern Spain in 1.5 week with a short stop at lands end . I have made a short video of the biscay crossing for friends and family, but will be nice to share onto here as well. I do apologise for the Dutch language in advance. Hope you all enjoy it.

Fair winds,

Egbert

That's Brilliant Egbert (I did understand the English bits!). I hope that you are now a bit south of the 'weather'.

Best Wishes for your on-going adventure and do let us know how you get on.

Brilliant. A Twister at its best!

What's beautifully demonstrated is the way that, under varying sail plans and wind directions, Afridi always tracks straight and true.

Yes I absolutely love the way the Twister handles everything. Words can not describe how much I love my boat. At the moment I'm safely anchored in a beautiful and protected bay near the small village of Ferrol. With a oversized mantus anchor so should be fine. Fits the bowroller very nice too. As long as you lash it down very tight when going out at sea.

I will definitely post some more nice things when I get the chance 😃

Excellent, had already seen your video actually and I've subscribed to you on YouTube. Nice job, keep the videos coming please, they are an inspiration for those of us that spend all our free time fixing things this time of year,

Justin,

Weatherfax and rtty weather textmessages. If you search for weatherfax and rtty in the google play store you will find the apps. The radio I use is the tecsun pl660

Here you can find the broadcast schedules and frequencies:
