Hi, I have a Kemp stack pack. My main is loose footed but the stack pack was available for bolt footed mains as well. Very pleased with it. Previous to that (with a then bolt rope footed main) I had a Jeckells stack pack. I prefer the Kemp, better design features and a more tailored fit. Both have a separate front "hood" to accommodate the bulk of the sail at the gooseneck. On other boats (not Twisters) often this is omitted, the sail all being held in the cover itself. Possibly better, one less thing to do, but perhaps not feasible on all sails? Certainly lowering and stowing, especially single handed, a lot easier. Good luck with your research.
Hi David,
Sea Miste has an old Crusader stack pack which was altered by Sanders of Lyminigton to fit the new main they made for us. The Crusader stack pack has been okay but it is much improved after the Sanders changes. Peter Sanders knows Twisters and is very helpful. If we had a new one made we would again have the separate 'boot' round the mast for the extra protection it gives to the winches and the luff of the sail.
Happy hunting!
Philip
