After three months of prep and hardwork, she isn't anywhere near 'restored' but she is seagoing. Finally safe and sound on her mooring after a challenging 30 miles from fowey and a brief altercation with a mud bank (which she won, naturally). I'm so happy 😉

Congratulations - she looks good and seems to be sailing very well.

Also - a most interesting film - I think it's a first for this site for someone to post a link to UTube. I'm sure we'd all like to see more...and more from other Members.

Thank you for making a Friday afternoon in the office come alive!

Thanks Peter, and Stephen,

Unfortunately I miss judged the halyard (less) tension on the forestay, so when I deployed the genoa, it looked like giant pair of soggy underpants. I rolled it up for the rest of the trip. Its the old system without a top swivel, I forget the make. i really like it but I think you need to have sailed with it to understand/get the best out of it. I visited the boat today for a picnic/ bilge check with my 3.5 year old daughter and swapped the shackle arrangement for a light line ear ring. At least I can adjust it on the fly now. I'm going sailing tomorrow so I guess we'll see if I've got it right!

Hi Justin,

Not sure how your cockpit drains, I tend to cover mine pretty much all the time with a simple canvas cover. saves worrying too much about bilge pumps.  some owners have fancy covers, I use a pole bit like a ridge tent.

OK, both sails setting beautifully now, the misses and my daughter had a great time today, so their sea trial was a total success.

I have a tailored cockpit cover, but it's just about ready for the bin and seems to catch more rain than it keeps out. I may well try the Ridge tent idea, and get an automatic bilge pump for peace of mind. Rule pumps are pretty good I hear and come recommended (by my brother, who lives on his out island 41 in trinidad)
