Just dropping in to introduce myself. My family and I recently took over custodianship of Dolphin and we are looking forward to getting out on the water. The Twister Class Association - and all the activity here - were significant factors in drawing us to a Twister, and I am sure I will enjoy getting involved.
Dolphin (ex Midnight Trader) is an all-GRP 1984 boat, moulded by Tylers but finished to her original owner's spec at Hartley Marine in Rochester. Currently ashore in Ramsgate, but we plan to move back to the Medway in spring.
Dolphin is largely fairly standard, although the chart table is to starboard and the galley to port; the port saloon berth has its trotter box forward, where some boats have a hanging locker; and Dolphin has a moulded anchor locker beneath the foredeck. The significant exception is that Mark, her previous owner, added a top down furling asymmetric spinnaker with a removable bowsprit (bolted through the hull via the anchor locker, and stayed on an eye set into the stem). Some details here - I know some members are interested so I will try to post some pictures in due course.
