Well, here it is then. I cut some 1/2 inch iroko planks down into 2 inch strips, and then milled halvings into the edges with a router. The frame I copied from the old one. This is stronger and more water resistant than its predecessor, which was thin marine ply bent over rotten mahogany. I'm very pleased with it, I used a similar process to re cover the main hatch. If I never see another tin of varnish it'll be too soon 😉 for those who prefer the Hollywood version, search YouTube for SV Roquetta and there are two videos for the process of making it, or follow the link above
