Hi All,

I am just refitting my wooden twister Swift II and have a very good but old looking gold alloy mast.

Might be of interest but just had both spars wraped.20220825_150011.jpgImage Enlarger

Hi,

The spars were a little tired and marked so gave them a light rub down.

Had to remove all fittings and the chap came and wrapped the two spars, took him 4 hours, cost £740.

Have reasembled the spars and those fittings no longer needed just left the holes covered over.

Still on trial at the moment, will have to be super clever not to mark the vinyl when the crane lifts the mast.

Sorry should have said.

Isle of Wight and any good sign company. Was done in 2 long sheets so only one join by the spreaders.

Hi,

I have a 30ft mast, matching boom and roller reefed forestay and stainless rigging. All alloy but not gold colour. Based at Chichester.

My big question ..... How durable will the wrap be? That said there is a yacht in the marina here whose topsides were wrapped several years ago and which still pass the 20 metre test with flying colours
