Refit in progress...concentrating on seaworthiness...the money's been spent below the waterline for now...Coppercoat next, finesse to follow.

It's great to see another Twister being restored to glory. Looks to be a great job.

I, and I am sure others, would be interested in knowing what the numbers on the stripped hull refer to.

She's looking absolutely lovely. Money well spent I'm sure,

Any updates on Hedhyu or Falmouth Boat co in general? I'm beginning to wonder if all is well with them. My spider sense is tingling.....

The yard is very busy...bustling even...a bit slow to keep me abreast of refit costs and progress, I deal with the owner / manager as the project manager has moved on. I see no signs of trouble, they've opened a sister yard in the Scillies. Hedhyu is coming on nicely, epoxy and Coppercoat now applied, some interior works ongoing...3 x new AGM batteries, fire proofing the engine bay and SOLAS pipe work throughout.  Standing and running rigging to renew, then get myself afloat!

Good to hear as they haven't responded to my last two emails and a quick check with companies house shows they are owned by the bank!

Will try again but I'm running short of both time and patience to be honest. It's not like I can pop round and have a quick look either.

They do know Twisters, but if you want answers and real time feedback I've found that e-mails do go unanswered. Best to call direct and ask for Jonathan Fielding, the Owner / Manager. There are two Twisters in his care, maybe its just that with contracts on the local offshore lifeboats and larger working boats coming over form the Scillies our Twisters perhaps fit in between the more lucrative contracts. If I were to do the refit again I'd have spent more time on the phone and popped in more often...
