Hello,
the blue pipe is MDPE water pipe, 50mm, with a shrink wrap cover. This has worked a treat for a few winters and the boat loves it, stays dry and aired, the winter storms hardly get it to shake. The shrink wrap is discarded each spring but would last for 3 seasons if over a long term project. As John points out it will get very hot in summer. Note the large open ends to let plenty of air through or you end with serious condensation problems. The best part of this is the entry door shaped like an upside down U with a zip to open/close, the whole cover gets finished then you stick the door on, unzip and cut out the cover to complete, bit like a cartoon door!
