A new owner for Tailtwister

Hello Everyone,

I've been a member of the association for several months but now I'm a member with a boat! My wife, Gwen and I have purchased Tailtwister, a 1967 composite. For the time being we are keeping her in St. Just in Roseland and had a splendid sail around the Falmouth/Helford River locations last week. I'd like to thank the previous owner Robin who has been an absolute gentleman over the process of selling his beloved boat. We intend to take as much care over her as Robin did.

Of course the list of 'To Do' has begun and I'm sure I'll be on the forum asking for advice. I'd love to read any accounts people have of bumping into Tailtwister in the past or any 'old' photos etc.

I can already dismiss the old adage, 'there are only two days of happiness with boat ownership...' as I've had a month already! laugh

Hi Austin,

Congratulations on your new boat. Look forward to seeing some photos of your new boat in due course. 67 was quite a year for Twisters, It would be interesting to know the numbers built each year.

We hope you have a lot of pleasure from Tailtwister.

We keep Sea Miste at Mylor Yacht Harbour. Let us know if we can be of any help but, as we have found over many years, the forum is really useful. Someone has always tackled the the problem before!
