Hello Folks!
I just joined after Stephen (Helix) recommended the association to me. From a quick look at the site and the forum there’s a wealth of information here.
I’m based in Ireland (Dublin / Donegal) and I’m pretty new to sailing - but have some big ambitions about long distance cruising.
I don’t own a Twister (yet!) but I have my heart set on buying one - If you’re thinking of selling yours, please keep me in mind!
Looking forward to getting to know you all over time and learning as much as I can about the lovely Twister class.
All the best,
David Folan.

Hey Marcelo!
Great to hear from an Irish based Twister!
I’d be happy to trade a weekends sanding for a few days sailing! I’ve never sailed a twister (I’m going purely on reputation and spec!) so it would be great to experience one at sea!
Drop me an email at davefolan (@) gmail (.) com 🙂
cheers, David
Hi David
if you go to My Account and the Members List then search using the key word ‘Ireland’ you’ll pull up a list of Members in Ireland. You can contact a Member by clicking on the Contact button. This will raise an email to them. If on a PC with Microsoft it will go to the Microsoft default…you may need to enable that if you don’t use it. Or, try on your smart phone…mine seems to be clever enough to find my gmail account.

There are three Twisters listed on Apollo Duck.
I'd note that using a Broker can help you sell if it is difficult for you to attend to the boat for viewing. However, the website is inexpensive [£30.00 to Members] and has a wide reach. It's worth a try. If you are not able to attend to the boat there is no reason why you should not give your Broker as a contact.
There are currently people actively looking for Twisters.

Do you get many enquiries from people wanting to buy a Twister, Peter?
Yes
There are several potential buyers out there. At one time there were six or more Twisters on the website and up for sale. In the last months I have people asking me if I knew of more. That’s why I put a comment in my email asking about Twisters that didn’t seem to be sailing.
Yes and here is another Twister:

I have many more details of her if anyone interested. I'd also recommend sailyachtsociety on YouTube. There are some beautiful boats.

As you know Peter, after 28 wonderful years of ownership, we are selling Sea Miste of Hamble due to my wife’s illness. I am unable to sell the boat privately as I am committed here in Hampshire so we have placed her with the brokers, Ancasta, at Mylor Yacht Harbour in Cornwall where she is lying ashore. Her pontoon berth with views of the Roseland Peninsula and the Carrick Roads can be transferred to her new owner. Full details are on the Ancasta website but prospective buyers are very welcome to email me if they would like to know more at seamiste@aol.com. I will put an advert on the for sale section of this site with the broker as contact point.
The broker is Lee Ball, Ancasta International Boat Sales, Mylor Yacht Harbour, Falmouth, TR11 5UF. 01326 372865, 07854 779798 email, leeball@ancasta.com, website http://www.ancasta.com
