Can anyone help me generate a JCH handicap for Cyclone? I am hoping someone out there has all the dimensions I need.

Hi Charles,

But it's 'A Handicap for Cyclone' and her alone (technically) so it's 'her' measurements and other details which are needed....

Good luck and enjoy the summer.

Hi Charles,

Under the tab Twister on this website,  Twister Class Specifications, All the sail plans are listed.   Should be everything there that you need.

For the purposes of a handicap it is necessary to provide the actual dimensions of all sails - including downwind sails. The data on the site may well help but didn't include any downwind sail data.

However, not all Twisters have a 145% genoa. Some Twisters have a slightly taller mast. Some have cruising chutes. Spinnaker sizes vary. Having navigated the JCH handicap I am helping Charles with his.

I've also put the dimensions of a genoa [Viveza] on the website together with dimensions of a top down furler [Viveza again] and two spinnakers - one of which came from Roquetta and one from Rompa.

These won't help with handicap measurements but may help Owners who look to see if a borrowed or second hand sail may suit.

If anybody want to send me actual dimensions of a sail I'll post them.

Peter

A big tape measure and a calm couple of hours and got them all measured. The dimensions of other's sails helped to reassure me I was not way off, thanks for the help. John and Peter were correct, mine differed slightly from the measurements supplied by others.
