Has anyone fitted engine mounts from any of these suppliers: Ellebogen, Novibrasyon or Parts4Engines ? They are all a lot cheaper than genuine Yanmar replacements for my 2GM20. £85.80 compared with £213.88 for a single mount.

I have a feeling that my friend Charles Wright (Cyclone) may have fitted something like these this year. Well worth an ask to avoid being ransomed by Yanmar!

I replaced Cyclone's Yanmar 2GM mounts with some from  these folks:

https://www.avmountsonline.co.uk/.

I think the knackered mounts were R&D mounts. I measured the mount spacings, stud dia. & length and researched the Shore (hardness) ratings. I contacted AV mounts to confirm they had a suitable product. I can't recall shore ratings, but they were softer for the rear ones. I made studs up from set screws (bolts with thread all the way along the shaft). I did make some tufnol spacer plates to raise the mounts nearer the mounting brackets, to reduce leverage as the height was less than the old mounts, but didn't fit them in the end. I may do that this winter. So far they have performed fine (about 25hrs motoring) Quieter, smoother but they do allow the motor to move around more than the old ones, but that doesn't seem to be an issue.

I am looking for an exact copy of the Yanmar mounts. AV don’t do them. Trying to keep things simple. I will probably get them from Ellebogen. I will post results. They have a good website and are pretty helpful.
