Same ownership for 50 years. Much loved. She is priced for the right owner with a passion for restoration to bring Bandit back to her former glory. The 2nd wooden Twister ever built (launched 1964) and the 1st at Cardnells of Maylandsea. Sailed to overall EAORA champion in 1965 (following Twister of Mersea in 1964 campaigned by Kim Holman) thus proving the brilliance of his design. She is featured in a book '3 Boys in a Boat' written by David Brook her owner at that time. She has campaigned at the Suffolk Yacht Harbour Classic regatta and is a well known East coast yacht. Other Details:
The price reflects the true value of her condition. My Father is unable to continue his ownership. His deteriorating health has contributed to her decline. Please be aware that this is a long term project and not for the faint hearted. She requires a massive amount of work to bring her up to spec. However she will reward with a quick turn of speed, agile manners and heavy seas durability. In her time she was one of the fastest Twisters on the water. It is the family's wish that she is found a home to the right person who can recreate those halcyon days.
