Hello

Well I know Helix ended up at the boatbreakers. Fortunately I was in time to buy her. Ive been working hard to get her back out on the water very soon.  Unfortunately though there is no mainsail with her.  Her mainsail was unique to Helix, with her fractional rig and tall mast.  So if anyone knows the previous owner, Id be happy to purchase the mainsail from him if its still around.  Ive really no idea who the owner was.  Any help in finding them would be much appreciated.

Thank you

If the previous owner was a member of the TCA, his/her details would have given in the older editions of the magazine, which used to include that information. Mine are away on loan to Peter Mulville  so I can't look it up for you but perhaps he can help.

Hello Stephen,

I have an old main that you can have if you need a make do sail. It's about 30 years old and little grey, but it did us for a few years until we got new sails this year. Let me know if it would be any good for you. I also have a sail cover we only used for a year and a headsail that's suitable for a furler.

Best wishes,

Katie

Hi Katie,

That's a very kind offer indeed. much Appreciated indeed.  Ill come back to you on the offer if that is ok.

Helix has this taller mast. the fractional rig makes her head sail slightly shorter.  Ive got 3 headsails for her that hank on and I'm going to use them and see how they go actually.  I found on board (not the original) but a good mainsail and thought id try it.  it looks so small though .

how did you get on with new sails?.  Who did you use?.

Best Wishes

stephen
